Architectural Historian

Dovetail is accepting applications for an Architectural Historian based out of our Fredericksburg, Virginia office; partial remote work or a position based out of our Wilmington, Delaware office may be possible for the right candidate. Primary responsibilities of this position center on the day-to-day management and performance of small- to large-scale architectural history and historical research projects. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented and well-organized, with strong analytical and communication skills. Salary will be commensurate with experience. The salary range for this position is $45,000–$70,000, dependent upon experience, and the position is eligible for performance-based bonuses. Archaeological Technicians
Dovetail Cultural Resource Group is accepting applications for Archaeological Technicians for projects throughout our service area. Projects range from approximately one to four weeks in length, although longer projects may be assigned. Project schedules are typically Monday through Friday; hotel and per diem are available during the workweek for those not local to the project areas. Human Resources (HR) Coordinator
Dovetail is seeking applicants for a full-time Human Resources Coordinator in our Fredericksburg, Virginia office, though part-time may be considered for the right candidate. The role of the HR Coordinator is to facilitate key HR functions and programs, including administering benefits programs and Dovetail’s safety program, maintaining personnel records, assisting with recruitment and onboarding efforts, ensuring legal compliance with HR-related federal and state regulations, and providing direct support to supervisors and upper management in HR-related matters. Project Archaeologist – Historical Specialist
Dovetail is accepting applications for a full-time Project Archaeologist with a specialty in Historical Archaeology, preferably to be based out of our Fredericksburg, Virginia office. Primary responsibilities center on the day-to-day management of, and participation in, archaeological projects of all types and sizes. Responsibilities may also extend to writing archaeological project proposals, including scopes and budgets. The ideal candidate will be well-organized, with strong communication and technical writing skills. The salary range for this position is $58,000-$70,000, dependent upon experience, and the position is eligible for performance-based bonuses.
