Architectural Historian

Archaeological Lab Manager
Dovetail is seeking an Archaeological Lab Manager based out of our Fredericksburg, Virginia office. The Lab Manager oversees all aspects of work relating to the analysis, interpretation, and curation of archaeological collections, including supervising lab staff; managing schedules and budgets; authoring/editing reports; and communication with Dovetail staff, clients, landowners, and agency personnel, as appropriate. Responsibilities may also extend to writing proposals, training staff, and representation of Dovetail at meetings, conferences, or other events. The ideal candidate must have excellent communication and organizational skills and be detail-oriented. The salary range for this position will be $48,000 to $70,000, dependent upon experience, and the position is eligible for annual performance-based bonuses. Archaeological Technicians
Dovetail Cultural Resource Group is accepting applications for Archaeological Technicians for projects throughout our service area. Some projects may last for up to four months or more, and all phases of work will be involved. Project schedules are typically Monday through Friday; hotel and per diem are available during the workweek for those not local to the project areas with some weekend lodging available on certain projects. Dovetail is seeking applicants for a full-time Human Resources Coordinator in our Fredericksburg, Virginia office, though part-time may be considered for the right candidate. The role of the HR Coordinator is to facilitate key HR functions and programs, including administering benefits programs and Dovetail’s safety program, maintaining personnel records, assisting with recruitment and onboarding efforts, ensuring legal compliance with HR-related federal and state regulations, and providing direct support to supervisors and upper management in HR-related matters.
