Dovetail Cultural Resource Group

Dovetail Cultural Resource Group I, Inc. (Dovetail) is a full-service, woman owned (SWAM certified) Cultural Resource management (CRM) firm. Dovetail's principals, Kerri Barile and Mike Carmody, have 25 collective years of experience conducting federal, state, and local preservation compliance work. Their complimentary abilities supply a uniquely wide range of specialized expertise, experience, and qualifications.

Both Principals of Dovetail meet the Secretary of Interior (SOI) standards for archaeologist. Dr. Barile also meets the SOI standards for architectural historian and historian. Dovetail's ability to combine architectural history surveys with archaeological investigations and archival research provides a cost-effective approach to preservation compliance, while their in-depth knowledge of preservation law will help prevent costly project delays. Our client base includes developers, engineering firms, and localities, along with historical societies, museums, private preservation gropus, and even other CRM firms. Dovetail's mission is to help our clients join smart progress and historic preservation through diligent research at a competitive cost. We help clear the path to cultural resource compliance.
